Brian Gillespie became the General Manager of Tamarack in October 2001. His prior club experience includes:

Apawamis Club, Rye, NY
Brian grew up in Westchester and attended Archbishop Stepinac High School. He later went on to Paul Smith College for Hotel and Restaurant Management and Concordia College for Business Management.
Brian now lives in Port Chester, NY with his wife Kara and three children Colin, Kayla and Kate.

Karyn Anastasio
Assistant General Manager

Karyn Anastasio started her career in the hospitality business as a Catering Chef in New York City. After 15 years in the kitchen, she switched gears and decided to start a career in Front of House operations. For the next few years, she worked as the Banquet Manager for Non-Game days at CitiField, and in Catering Sales and Management for all of David Burke's properties, and then subsequently at Jean George's Spice Market in the Meatpacking District. She comes to Tamarack Country Club after being with the management team that just reopened the Rainbow Room in 2014.

Patrick Vaccariello
Executive Chef

As a teenager Chef Patrick always had a passion for cooking and the restaurant industry. Coming from a restaurant family in Pelham Bay N.Y., it seemed like a natural fit.
Patrick completed the 4 year Restaurant Management program at Johnson & Wales University in Providence R.I. At the beginning of his career, Chef Patrick worked at La Panetiere for Jaques Lupiac in Rye N.Y.
Chef Patrick spent the next 26 years working for some of the top restaurants and caterers in NYC including notable chefs and restaurateurs such as Charlie Palmer, David Burke, Richard Leach, Alan Stillman’s Smith & Wollensky group and World Yacht Cruises.

Michael Ballo Jr.
Head Golf Professional
|
A Class-A
member of the PGA of America, Ballo, Jr. comes to Tamarack with a highly
respected reputation as both a champion golfer and an experienced club
professional. He most recently spent four years as an assistant golf
professional at Westchester Country Club in Rye, New York.
Prior to that, Ballo Jr. began his club professional career on
the assistant staff at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, New York. He has
also garnered numerous Met PGA titles, including the Met PGA Assistants
Championship, the Silvercrest Cup, the New York State Open, and the Westchester
Open. Ballo Jr. is currently the Met PGA Assistants Association president and
serves on the Met PGA Tournament and Education Committees.
Ballo Jr.
played collegiate golf at St. John’s University, earning All-Big East honors,
and was named to the PING All-Northeast Region Team. He also won two MGA Ike
Championships and was twice named Westchester Amateur Player of the Year.
Following college, he played seven years as a touring professional on the
Canadian tour and Web.com Tour before transitioning into the club professional
ranks. |

David Slater
Tennis Director

David is in his sixth year as Tennis Director here at Tamarack Country Club. Originally from St. Albans in England, he spent the last two years as 1ST assistant to the tennis director at Old Oaks Country Club in Purchase, NY. Before entering the country club world David spent three years as the Director of Tennis at the Tennis Club of Hastings. In his first year at TCH David oversaw the re-emergence of the club after Hurricane Sandy, helping grow the adult program and annual membership as well as overseeing the growth of the junior program to over 180 children ranging in ages from 4-17. A little-known fact about David is that he was also a fully qualified British tennis official and officiated at Wimbledon for five years from 1999-2003. |
